Fix Network (Internet) Problems in Ericsson

Here you can learn how to fix network problems in Ericsson phone. These solutions will help you to solve Internet connection problems.

If you’re experiencing network problems on your Ericsson device, such as issues with Wi-Fi or mobile data connectivity, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to fix the problem:

Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues:

  1. Check Wi-Fi connection: Ensure that your Wi-Fi router is working correctly and that other devices can connect to it. Also, make sure you are within the range of the Wi-Fi network.
  2. Toggle Wi-Fi on/off: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings panel and tap on the Wi-Fi icon to toggle it off, wait a few seconds, and then toggle it back on.
  3. Restart your Ericsson device: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve Wi-Fi issues. Turn off your device and then turn it back on after a few seconds.
  4. Forget and rejoin Wi-Fi network: Go to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi, find your Wi-Fi network in the list, tap and hold on it, then select “Forget network.” After that, rejoin the network by entering the Wi-Fi password.
  5. Reset network settings: Resetting network settings can help fix connectivity issues. Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings. This will also remove saved Wi-Fi networks, so you’ll need to re-enter their passwords.
  6. Wi-Fi frequency band: Some Ericsson devices allow you to choose between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi bands. Try switching between the bands to see if it improves the connection. You can do this in Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Advanced > Wi-Fi frequency band.

Mobile Data Connectivity Issues:

  1. Check mobile data coverage: Ensure that you are in an area with good mobile data coverage. Network issues can occur in areas with weak signals.
  2. Toggle mobile data on/off: Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the quick settings panel and tap on the Mobile Data icon to toggle it off, wait a few seconds, and then toggle it back on.
  3. Restart your Ericsson device: A simple restart can sometimes resolve mobile data issues. Turn off your device and then turn it back on after a few seconds.
  4. Airplane mode: Enable Airplane mode for a few seconds, then disable it. This action can reset the mobile connection and may help resolve connectivity problems.
  5. Update your device’s software: Ensure that your Ericsson device is running the latest software version. Software updates often contain bug fixes and improvements that can resolve network-related issues. Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install updates (if available).
  6. Reset network settings: As mentioned above, resetting network settings can help fix connectivity issues, including mobile data problems. Go to Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings.

If the network problems persist after trying the above steps, it’s possible that there’s a more significant issue with your Ericsson device’s network hardware. In this case, you may need to contact Ericsson support or visit an authorized service center for further assistance.
